Why I Started House Hacking Coach

I was exactly where you are. Paying $1,400 a month in rent, watching home prices climb, and believing I needed 20% down to buy anything. I felt stuck — like homeownership was something that happened to other people.

Then I discovered house hacking. I bought my first triplex in Minneapolis using an FHA loan with just 3.5% down. I lived in one unit and rented out the other two. Within six months, my tenants were covering my entire mortgage. My housing cost went from $1,400/month to $0.

That single decision changed the trajectory of my financial life. I went on to acquire more properties, including a triplex in Richmond, VA, and completed a live-in flip that generated over $60,000 in forced equity.

I started House Hacking Coach because I believe everyone deserves to know this path exists. Rent is the biggest barrier to building wealth, and I'm on a mission to help first-time buyers escape it.
