Who we are
House Hacking Coach (househackingcoach.com) is operated by Joseph Williams. This policy explains what information is collected from visitors and subscribers, how it's used, and how to request changes to it. If you have questions, contact househackingcoach@gmail.com.
Information we collect
We collect information in a few limited ways:
- Information you provide directly — your first name and email address when you request a free blueprint, sign up for the newsletter, or contact us directly.
- Payment information — if you enroll in the course, checkout is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not collect or store your card number or other full payment details; Stripe processes that information under its own privacy policy.
- Standard technical data — our hosting provider (Netlify) automatically logs standard information such as IP address, browser type, and page requests, as most websites do.
- Advertising measurement — if you arrive from an ad (for example, a Meta/Facebook or Instagram ad), we may use that platform's tracking pixel to measure whether the ad led to a signup. This does not give us access to your social media account or its contents.
How we use your information
- To deliver the blueprint(s) or resource you requested
- To send the email nurture sequence and occasional newsletter updates about house hacking education and the course
- To process and deliver access to the course if you enroll
- To respond if you reply to an email or contact us directly
- To measure and improve the performance of our marketing, including ads
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run this business, and your information may pass through them solely to provide their service to us:
- Kit (ConvertKit) — our email service provider, used to send the blueprint delivery emails and nurture sequence
- Stripe — payment processing for course enrollment
- Skool — hosts the course content and community for enrolled students
- Netlify — website hosting and form processing
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram) — ad performance measurement, if you arrived via a Meta ad
Each of these providers has its own privacy practices governing the data they process on our behalf.
Email communications and unsubscribing
Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can opt out of the nurture sequence or newsletter at any time by clicking that link, and we will stop sending you marketing emails. Emails necessary to deliver something you specifically purchased (like course access) are not marketing emails and are sent regardless of newsletter subscription status.
Your rights and choices
You can ask us at any time to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your information from our systems (including unsubscribing and removing you from our email platform)

Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account or subscription is active, or as needed to provide the services you've requested, unless you ask us to delete it sooner or the law requires us to keep it longer.
Children's privacy
This site and its offerings are intended for adults and are not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time as the business or the tools we use change. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent update.
